This one is going to be gritty. Apologies in advance, but I can feel myself tensing as I write this, simply because the lesson here is not so much something to aim for, but more about what to avoid. And that “thing” is simply cringeworthy and embarrassing. For years, I often visited experiences that left me feeling deeply uncomfortable, yet I couldn’t put my finger on why.

Just a few days after receiving my certificate for Experience Design at the University of the Arts London, I had signed up again for more professional development! This time I was back at UAL studying Set Design for Performance. A course which made sense in my line of work, blending all kinds of theatrical skills and applying them to other live entertainment formats.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just wrapped up my course at UAL, earning a non-accredited certificate in Experience Design (EXD). WOO!
